Hey ho! Super still not 100% finished...once they're built I lose interest a little!
So..onto the next project, alloy again but this time solid 6mm rod for strength and 'Durafix' to braze it.

Needs more chassis. I can't wait to see how this turns out.
One day I might even make my own from those plans you sent me. |

Good to see another tuber on the go!
Intrigued by Durafix too. aluminium has always been a bit daunting but this could be a way forward. Price seems great too. |

Thanks for the kind words, I've not done many builds to be honest. The 'build boys' are Ryanbored and Miniman etc! I did a 2.2 (which is due to have the chassis plates narrowed and the links redone), my Super which is an ongoing thing! And now this...
I love weekends! |

Managed to do a bit more...some solid rod some tube, need to drill holes in the front shock mounts, link mount holes in the front/side panels and work out where to put the rear shock mount points.

Nice progression! Really looks mean.
Shame you aren't making 2, then you could sell one to me!
Are you going to "fix" nuts on for bolting on panels or use zip ties? |

Alloy 6mm OD tube - B&Q about £2.00.
Alloy 6mm D solid rod - B&Q about £3.50.
Durafix rods - Ebay (http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/easywelduk/)
Plans - Yes, very good idea. Draw them up myself, must admit though, I never follow them exactly!

Actually I am making two!!!
Not sure about the panels yet. I'll probably bend them around the frame like I did with the Super. |
