hi folks, long time reader first time poster..
thought I'd start here, I've had a scout for a while now and am slowly restoring it and making it better (just finished a coil sprung conversion) anyway I bought a micro losi before Christmas and finally got round to doing something with it,
sorry for the pics my camera phone is not upto much
i worked out that you could use most of the interior, for the body mounts in the sides and inner arches etc,
with a bit of cutting here and there it looks like it was made for the chassis,
the losi is stock other than cutting the body posts slightly shorter,
before paint,
I'm really happy how it turned out, nice to crawl a little indoors while the weather is so bad,
obligatory flex shot
my big scout, I'll get round to finishing,
next project, my jeep, but something a little bigger, |

Nice!
I would do a chassis or body drop. Just to make it look a little bit more scale.
Just my 2 pence worth.

A great little project - turned out well!
Just remember to post a pic of the 1:1 scout "flexing" over those four AA batteries! (and the aftermath)

Yeah I love the shell to. Its an old amt kit from the states. Not made money at $16 still sealed.
I think the little losi is great. Its a little more top heavy than it was with the stock body. But lots of fun round the house. Cool trying to see how far I can get up the sofa using cushins to get a start. Or the challenge of the computer desk with mouse and keyboard in the way.
I think its a cool bit of kit for in the house.
